Default Very helpful Chris

Although the 385 setup looks the most attractive (I assume that all solutions use the 8 pot RS4/6 Brembos), something tells me I'll be sticking with the stock setup for some time to come...

Chris,

I would need the front calipers, mounting bracket and brake hoses only.

Is the guy from Urquattro going to the A8 meet?

Would he do a better deal for cash?

And finally, would anyone be willing to bring them back for me?

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

I do not know him.. All I know is, that he's from deep bavaria (I heard it ) and has also an A8 4.2.
I invited him to A8-Freunde, but do not know if he's online.

Maybe we can find a solution for you, I can call him anytime again!!
I think paying cash is always nice for business men.

Chris.

Chris,

If you could give him a call for a price and some possible delivery/drop off options.

Cheers

Hmm...interesting.

Don't know if it is possible but I would be interested to find out.

I'm looking to have an adaptor bracket made up to mount the RS6 front calipers on the standard hubs.

What's this all obsession about brakes? Stock brakes are good enough to loose grip and ABS to kick in and do not suffer heat fading, well at least on road maybe on intensive track use. So what is the point of bigger brakes?- they will not improve tyre grip just kick in abs with less pressure on brake pedal and add weight to car. Brake balance could be switched a bit more to back as fronts seem to lock up a bit too soon.
