With luck, I should be driving this daily from next week.

One thing which was very obvious on the first drive was that I hadn't got the sub-frame back in the same place that it was before hand as the car didn't feel balanced on the road.

I managed to grab some time on a two post ramp today (tried to do this on the four post without success) again around at John Boyd's (thanks again guys!) and could maneuver the sub-frame easily back into it's original position.

There are tell tale marks (shadows if you will) as to where the sub-frame pads were sitting before so it's very easy to do but the suspension must be under no stress to just move the sub-frame hence on a two post ramp.

It now drives beautifully again.

The gearbox is now being installed into a fellow A8parts forum member's S8.

It's a lot easier taking it out this way...

Yeah, pulling the engine and trans together, is so much easier. The hoist does all the hard work.
