Oh, bloody hell! That is just too scary! My '8 is an every day car, so that would keep it out of use far too long. I'll get in touch with Shark_90. Wher's he based and did you have to supply the head unit?

Just bought meself a Rns-e also to replace the rns-d

Now i am a bit confused about what adapter cable i need to have
Can someone tell me witch adaper cables i need to order from kufatec??
The direct link Ian post earlier doesnt seem to work.

Its for a s8 2000 with bose sound

You only need 2 tools: WD40 and Duct Tape. if it doesn't moves use WD40... if it moves but it shouldn't use Duck tape

Try this:

And if it doesnt work, just follow the A6-4B chassis and go through unil you find and RNS-E retrofit cable. the A6 (pre 2005) and A8 are identical as far as wiring is concerned in this case, so just fill in the questions and say you have an RNS-D.

Product number 33405.

Also note you will need aerial adapters for converting the RNS-D radio and naviation aerials to the RNS-E connectors.

I'm seriously contemplating putting an RNS-E in my D2 at the moment, so I might (famous last words) do an end to end write up....
