Think this part number only varies by including the USB option as well, but at the price seems very good value:

4F0051510P

£27.50 incl delivery - have bought from Boston Audi before and they often have good deals on old stock

Would appreciate some advice on how to get these as a private individual. I've phoned Bristol TPS and Portsmouth who have said trade only.

Cheers,

Mike

You could probably pick the cables up on ebay for not much more singly.

If you want one I can ring up and reserve one for you no problem at your local place. Pay cash on arrival.

4F0051510L - iPod to AMI Cable - £24 + VAT or cheap Ebay chinese cable

That's all you need to swap your CD changer for AMI.

4D0051530 - Removal Keys - £3.50 + VAT if you want to be posh

4F0051592A - Retrofit kit with power and fibre cable to have CD changer and iPod - £33 + VAT

4E0972645 - Fibre Optic Bridge - £5+ VAT needed if you want to split the CD
Changer fibre optic.

Personally just replace CD changer, it's pants anyway compared to AMI.

So AMI can be fitted brand new for £196.80 in less than 5 mins.... Bargain.

Only for D3 owners guys and girls sorry....

A8DOC,

I am not too clued up on this, so will this integrate with my standard MMI with Bluetooth, or are there different versions of this kit? Does the Ipod/Iphone then stay in the glovebox once connected?

Many thanks.

It'll work with bluetooth (assuming it's a standard Audi kit you have installed). And with the cable, the iPod does stay in the glovebox, though you can buy a bluetooth unit for it to stream the music that way too.

Hi,

I intend to use my iphone for music and phone duties, so it there a longer lead that allows you to have the phone attached to the dash etc? I unerstand that the music will be played via the AMI (using the lead or bluetooth unit), but will this also connect the phone to the MMI for making calls etc?

Thanks

If you get the BT module for the AMI, then it'll connect to both the AMI and main kit remotely. If not, then you need to plug it in every time. There may be iPod extension cables on ebay.
