Morning all,

The little get together you all had on the 6th looked good.
I do like the roads and cinery in scotland, really need to go back again I think.

Some cracking pics and videos.

Who's going to put names above everyone's head in the group photo?

The sun is shining and the chopper to take me home is heading my way now, not long before I will be back in the warm embrace of my loved one, no doubt the wife will be pleased to see me too.

Morning all,

How was the chopper ride and did you have a warm embrace by the love ones?

As much as I like riding to work, the speed going down the hills, the buzz I get from cutting through traffic and the relaxing ferry ride where I watch the world go buy. Its all nice and all but by the time I get home I have no motivation to do anything apart from play the xbox.
I spend the 30 min trip sweating my nuts off, I get home smelling, wet, legs are aching and the last thing I want to do is housework, garage work, garden work or car work.
After my shower I sit there on the xbox wishing I did more with my life than sitting on the xbox, so I get up, put some outside clothes on and potter about in the garage/garden wondering why I did not start this when I got home I would have had loads more time complete what I'm doing.

Then I cycle home from work the next, remember why I don't do it and sit in front of the xbox.

I might buy a motorbike.

How is everyone?

Sounds like a motorbike would be good, but it's not going to keep you in shape, how about an electric bike to assist the uphill section on the way home.

The chopper ride was how they usually are, hot and uncomfortable and it's nearly time to go back again, the month has flown by

That's it plus it will cost money.
Cycling is free.

You can buy conversion kits, was tempted but I'd use it all the time lol

Just a month off?
How long do you spend away?

I do month on month off normally, but on occasion I have done 8 week trips but try to avoid them where possible.

Month on, month off don't seem to bad.
And a helicopter ride.
I'd love a go in a helicopter.

I have the choice of mountain bike, motorbike and car to get to work, I always choose the mountain bike, it's only in exceptional circumstances that I use any of the others (if I need to go somewhere after work or have an appointment during work time) The motorbike has been MOT'd and taxed recently with the intention of using it more and thus saving using the S8. That's the intention though I doubt it'll happen, 15,000 miles on it in 15 years is a bit shameful but I can't bear to get rid, I just know I'd regret it instantly.

On the subject of helicopter rides Del, I had my first ever one in New York last month, it was better than I expected somehow. Felt a bit vunerable and there was a fair bit of buffeting but on the whole it was enjoyable. Some great views of the city and it's sights made the whole thing worthwhile
