There are three sizes of rear disc, ignoring ceramics

280x22
310x22
335x22

The caliper is the same across all these, as is the splash plate, so all you need is the discs and the caliper carriers.

For 335x22, carriers are 3D0615425A (left) and 3D0615426 (right). I think those are Phaeton numbers, possibly Bentley, so they may be straightforward to find.

The D2 is the same - the only difference between A8 and S8 rears is the caliper carrier and disc itself.

This is what my Etka shows:

Same numbers for all versions but different suffixes for different sizes. Also note that the 280 is not handed but the 310 and 335 are. Not sure why that would be. The rear hub is the same for all versions.

That's not unexpected - there are often supersessions and my Etka is a bit out of date.

The theory is still sound that discs and carriers from an S8 will fit an A8. Hubs are the same, splash plates are the same, calipers are the same.

Late on reply, but I've done this on my D3 3.0TDI and you need as mentioned discs and carriers, and maybe the outer brake hose. I was able to squeeze the caliper over the disc but it was tight with the larger disc.

Should be a thread I made here somewhere from few years back.
