Never liked Scoobies or Evo's or anything jap, but I used to be the same with BMW then realised I was missing out on some of the best cars on the road. I think I'll continue to live in ignorance, don't think I could get on with a fast 'four pot' part of the experience is noise for me.

Sorry to drift off topic Reffro, I've driven this car, and it is spot on.

(with a 2007 CD - of which I once sold on here for £15) He makes a valid point too, if someone has an RNS C that goes wrong in a D2 (admittedly this is rare) and they need a new unit, this is an ideal replacement at a very good price. I'm certain I've seen A8 Parts have RNS C units for sale on their eBay page before, and if I remember correctly the C5 S6 I had also used an RNS C, and it wasn't slow and worked perfectly fine for me.

Anyway Reffro's S is a sweetie and if i were in the market for an S it would already be sat on my drive (if i were allowed to own it) Go for it HP you'll love it

Just to say, I'm not ****ed off, but Amar does make a valid point also.

I like the car chat, so I don't mind a bit of banter, besides it will also keep my car in people's minds.

That wasn't a rant about going off topic, I'm guilty of that a lot of the time. It was about slagging off someone's item on a for sale thread, in fact, I did the complete opposite and praised Reffro's car so quoting that makes no sense whatsoever.

For once, I too am completely lost....

Anyway, It may be worth Reffro starting a new thread, rather than resurecting this old one, as it would get more visibility there.

I've not driven the car, but I am very aware of just how much love and attention it has had. I'd be surprised if it wanted for anything, so anyone looking for an S8 ought to be giving it a look over I would imagine...

This thread is fine methinks, it's about an S8 for sale.

A bit of a wobbler thrown by quoting something from another thread, which IIRC was about an RNS-C and CD for sale (separately).

You had a RB5....very jealous!!!!

I drove a very early '93 WRX for a couple of years.....in fact I was one of the first to be driving around in a Jap import in the UK - got lots of interesting looks and waves from the Scoob community. What a fantastic car - scared the hell out of many friends with just how quick I could get around a tight roundabout
