Suspension height recalibration needed?
I've noticed that my rear right wheel has recently looked more into the wheel arch than the left. I park on a uneven surface so it may just be a visual thing. But today I decided to plug VCDS in and take a look at the measuring blocks and log a little 6 minute drive. I logged block 5, absolute vehicle height, which gives a reading around 100mm for each side.
After the 6 minute journey the average height for each side was Front Left +103.5mm +97.0mm Front Right Rear Left +115.4mm +101.9mm Rear Right With this result I now don't know if the rear left is too high because the other 3 sides are around +100mm, or the rear right is too low? I expect that the left will be a little higher than the right side to compensate for the camber of the road and me in the drivers seat. Does anybody know any base settings for each side? Should it be around 100mm? Should the rears be a little higher? And would a suspension recalibration be needed? Below is the logged line graph of the journey. Quite interesting as you can see the majority of the journey was left turns.

Can't answer your question Matt, but a suspension height calibration is quite simple to do if you haven't already. Tape measure, VCDS and a spare 30 mins or so is all it took me.
Can't see how a recalibration wouldn't help in the above situation.

Thanks John,
I'll get the calibration done. There's a shopping centre car park with a lovely latex top screed near me, it will be near level for the calibration job. Did you do it with the car empty or somebody sitting in the driving seat?

Worth checking the rear left sensor isn't seized or faulty before proceeding to alter the settings

When I did mine I was assisted by my 4 yr old son, and he sat up front and I was in the driver's seat. In and out to measure the distance from the centre of the wheel to the arch.
We were on a very quiet road, but we probably got a few odd looks.

The level is meant to be calibrated with nobody in the car at all, all done from outside with the VCDS cable through the window.

I think I will redo mine when I get a quiet day, just to be sure all is well, as I was a little preoccupied when I did mine.
