I’ve seen this drag race before. It wasn’t a surprise to be honest. If speed is all the other cars have, let them have that win. There is so much more depth to a D2 than 0-60

(internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

My mate has an RS3 (and had an APR stage 1 Golf VI GTI before it), and whenever it is my turn to drive to an event (we're TCR, SV5000 and Historic racing regulars), he always sits in the back (at 6'3" and when there's more than 3 of us!).
He'll invariably shake his head and say something along the lines of "this car is so comfortable" or "this has got to be the performance bargain of the century" or some such complimentary words!
