Question Caliper refurb

Just failed my MOT on rear calipers (both sides) binding and brake efficiency at 48%.

So need to get them refurbed quickly. Got 10 days to retest so does anyone know of a brake refurbishers in Norfolk or one elsewhere with a fast turnaround?

Cheers guys

dont audi do a repair kit of seals and new pistons? any halfway competent garage will be able to do it easily. infact its not that hard for a home mechanic to do, provided you have help to bleed the brakes

I've personally never used these but have heard of them through friends. Give them a quick call.

Or give it a go yourself as per Andy's link.

Hope you get it sorted

Thanks for the recommendations. Tried both companies today and neither would entertain the notion of refurbishment, offering replacements only (expensive ones too).

Very nearly sent them away to a refurb company but tried phoning A8parts at the last minute and they offered me a blinding deal for replacements on both sides, with delivery for tomorrow (cheers guys!!).

Will report back once they're all fitted and once the MOT HAS passed

I was going to go down the rebuild route but decided that it was a better plan to buy refurbished Audi calipers from ECP. Saves a lot of time, there's a warranty, plus with new discs and pads the entire rear braking system is nice, shiny and as new.

Green Goblin, I saw a tidy D2 S8 this evening heading north along Caister Road next to the Heliport about 6:30ish. Was this you?

Nah, not me. It wasn't a black D2 S8, MY02, on 20s by any chance? I see it quite alot, think it might be a Final Edition. There's also a very nice D3 S8 near me in I think Dolphin Grey which I see alot. It has an aftermarket exhaust, S8 plate and sounds very nice indeed!
