Default Quick Question on Wheels ??

Morning all
I know this isn't in the Wheels and tyres section but it's just a quick question
My 8 has the 19" sport wheels which I believe are the same as the RS6 jobs in design. Are they the same fitting offsets etc.
My spare is slightly square and I was hoping to pick up a new on and there's one for sale on the bay.
This is a picture of mine

This is the detail from the inside of the one for sale

Grateful for any pointers
Cheers
Glyn

If that code says 4B3 601 025Q with ET35 then according to Etka the wheel is exactly the same as the RS6 (I just looked it up under RS6, rather than A8)

I've moved it Glyn as it's good to have the question and answer in the right section for others who may want to know.

Hi Adrian
Sorry for being thick, so would this wheel fit the D3 8 Sport ?
the inside picture ( with the number on ) is one the one for sale. I haven't checked mine to compare, I'll have a nose in the boot after work as see what the spare has on it
Just hoping to get a useable spare as mines b*ggered, which I only found out after paying to have the damn thing refurbed!
Cheers
Glyn

sorry, misunderstood what you posted earlier - what year and spec is your a8?

edit - had a look at available 19" rims for the A8 and I THINK the ones you're talking about are 4E0 601 025AD which are 9x19" but the ET is 44 so they'll sit 9mm further into the arch (I think!) and will almost certainly look a little different too.

I quick look at the inside of your spare should confirm

Cheers mate
I wasn't near the car earlier so couldn't get to it to check
Your bang on though and the wheel is the one you listed with and ET of 44 so that one is no good to me, will keep on looking. I have an immaculate spare with a slight squareness!
Much appreciated cheers
Glyn

to be honest if it's balanced properly and is only marginally out of true then you'll never notice it on the car.

I had to have one of my 20" wheels straightened and although I could still see where it had been done, the balancing wasn't excessive to overcome that. Even when the wheel had a 50p edge to it you still couldn't feel it through the steering wheel!

So long as it's structurally sound and holds pressure I wouldn't worry too much.

Cheers mate
I might leave it where it is then
It's only the spare at the end of the day I guess
Cheers
