No Key Recognised
So - having to use the key in the ignition because when I try to use the keyless entry or start the car from the start button I get 'No Key Recognised' on the centre display.
I believe I need the update that Nigel had to get rid of his Battery is knackered prompt - could this be the cause? Cheers

I get it now an again, usually when the battery in the key is starting to get low, more often if my phone is in that pocket.
Have you tried a new battery in the key?

Does it need the battery to work?
My car came with a plastic key with no battery and no remote, but it can be used for start authorisation. |

Not changed. Does it not use the same as the plipper as that works ok?

Probably the antennas in the centre console near the cupholder or their wiring.
It is called KESSY if I remember. Maybe a VCDS scan will reveal a faulty antenna? |

The plipper will work when the battery is too low for the remote key function. I usually find that it'll start giving the odd 'no key' warning when starting, then when going along randomly for a few seconds, and just gets worse until a new battery, was the same in my PF too.
