Dodgy bonnet switch? The small microswitch built into the bonnet latch.

Didn't know there was one. Would that show up on a vagcom scan? If so, maybe someone could have a peek at the weekend in the Lakes?

Not Richard BTW - I owe him too many beers already.

Whilst I'm on here, I must sing his praises. He's helped me out a couple of times before, but he gave up the better part of last Saturday to take out my sunroof and replace it with a solar powered version from Gordon's scrap S8. The guy is a saint! Not sure how many beers that's worth, but don't expect to see him at the bar too often this weekend - 'the Laird' will be buying!

hmm sounds like I owe a few beers to a few people too then as I managed to get the part for my sun roof out of this, which I had broken during some hamfisted attempt to fix a rattle. So thanks I think to Gordon/Jim for donating it, Richard for removing it and Jim for bringing it over, sorry if I have that wrong but thanks to all involved. Now just need even more help to fit it, yet more beer vouchers available to any volunteers

Ohh and Jim you need to add Solar Roof to your sig now

i noticed a while back that my indicators (D3) didnt flash. turned out to be the boot not completely closing and locking properly.

but there is a vagcom code on the d3 for various lights on off and bleeps
