Thanks David, I'm pleased with the results.

My wife wants a car too get he from A-B and as long as it's reliable that's about all that matters. She has owned the Mini for 4+ years and never once washed or vacummed the interior and as I don't drive it the cleaning schedule is almost non existent. She is in London this week so I decided to tackle the job of tidying the Mini. She had been saying the steel wheels were looking tatty and wanted me to paint them, but not exactly a job I was wanting to do so the tree of gums provided an almost new set of genuine BMW Mini wheels and tyres for not a lot of pennies and were fitted yesterday, then a clean and polish & wax, not detailed as she wouldn't be able to tell the difference and I don't want to spend too much time on it. At least it doesn't look neglected now. I called my MOT station this morning to book it in for an MOT next week and they had a space today, so it now has another years ticket and no advisories...Happy days

Result... looks good, and alloys are almost always better than steel wheels.

Another vacant space now as the Range rover is driving all the way to the south of France with its new owner...

The Range Rover made it all the way to the South of France it's done 1400 miles to get there via some visits in England and the new owner is a happy chappy...

The Audi was treated to fresh oil and filters today and a service reset. There is a faulty gearbox mount that requires replacing as it keeps throwing a fault. I changed the O/S a couple of years ago but now the N/S is fubarred. I tried cleaning the contacts as they get furred up but that hasn't helped so another £250 needs to be spent to keep it in good health

Finally caught up with all my chores and the Viano was the last vehicle to be detailed. It's now on the ramp with the oil draining overnight and fresh oil and filters will be fitted tomorrow.

Mission accomplished

I can't believe the price of Castrol Edge 5W-40 now, last time I bought it I paid £80.00 for 40 litres, today was £34.02 for 4 litres

Right! Thats it! I'm giving up on this detailing thing. Whatever I do can NEVER compete with that finish you have got on that Subaru. Its like a mirror ......
