I dont know why an injector would stay open during disconnect, they are spring return to close.

Its good news that the cars good now though.

If you ever have issues again, and suspect a dodgy injector you can check them with an oscilloscope.

Cheers chap. I will get one of those USB interface scopes next time.
I just added video of the 'diagnostic' to my last post.
The piezo injectors use the hydraulic pressure of the fuel to open and a spring to close - but the piezo effect opens a valve to allow the hydraulic pressure to do that, sort of like a trigger.
