Round black window grommets
Round black grommets on the glass for the windows, can these be changed, one of mine is not wearing well, i either touch it up with black paint or swap it out for another one, anyone ever tried to remove it from the glass?

I've not looked closely at mine but these are for the guide channels? I'd have though they should be replaceable but may require the door to be taken apart.
Someone with ETKA may be able to load a picture of how they're fixed, perhaps it's just a cap pressed on but could be part of a bolt secured from the inside.

I suspect these are the same as those fitted on B3/B4 series Audi 80,90 & Coupe models. You would probably pick up an Audi 80 door glass from a breakers for a couple of quid to do some "research" on before dismantling your D2 door.

 for now i've just touched up with some audi black touch up paint looks like it needs taking apart from the inside to get it off

Ah - suddenly the double rubber window seal makes sense! Not that I'd really looked at it that closely...
Thanks for saving me the look-up steamship! Something else to apply dry lube to now, that might smooth the window out a bit!
