I read all the posts and may try the fuse box option with a jump pack.

The boot lock just spins also with all my keys, suspect that's not right either!

May just buy a Booster/ Jump pack to go through the Cigarette socket, just need enough juice to get the central locking working.

The CTek chargers have an option for a cig lighter plug so you can charge up that way.

If you can get the front driver's side wheel off you could put jump leads on the starter junction box in the wheel well.

There is an earlier post on this - I had the same problem, and Ian (IT) correctly pointed out that you can also jump from the main cable (thick) connector which is in the front passenger footwell, under the carpet, by the wheel arch - a method I've used successfully, so hopefully this will work for you too.

That would probably give power to the central locking as well, which is all that is needed.

That is curious, I experienced a similar thing, battery flat, key won't open the boot lock.
Apparently the battery going flat should make no difference to the boot lock, but it does seem that there is a connection.
Good luck I hope you sort it without having to drill the boot.

Resolved.

Used a cigarette to cigarette charger, gave more than enough juice to use the central locking. £12 only and a very handy item to have in the garage.

It's called a Bluecol 12v Digital Jump starter and very quick and simple to use.
