Yeah, looks ok but more evolutionary than revolutionary.

I like the rear, but I'm not too sure about the front. Grille's too wide. Looks like someone awaiting dental treatment: https://i.imgur.com/Eut4GKe.jpg

I watched the whole hour an a half Audi Summit video, and that does it a little more justice. The rear lights do look kinda cool.

Summit video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi3uX-ACElc

Which is good, because otherwise, as already noted, its a lot like a D4 visually, right down to the 'are they actually the same old part number?' adaptive cruise grills....

The tech could be impressive, but all i heard from the whole presentation is that its kind of all the 48v kit the new Q7 already got, so its basically had its thunder stolen 12 months ago.

The new super adaptive suspension system *might* finally allow a large degree of comfort, with properly adjustable sportiness, but it will take a good test drive to be convinced.

Only V6 engines at first, followed by V8 then W12 and hybrids, so expect a saturation of the least desirable (to us) engines on the second hand market in years to come. #coughd4cough. No mention at all of an S8 as yet...

It does look lower and wider (as they took effort to point out) which makes it tiny bit sportier looking, but its failed to take my breath away visually...

I just really hope it can be fun to drive. The D4 was flat to say the least, but at least the tech was astounding....

I will be dissecting the brochure and price list once available.....

Need to see one in the flesh really. Doesn't inspire me like previous generations have, TBH.

Quite pleased....it doesn't date my S8 too much from what I can see although you need to see them in the flesh I guess
But...it doesn't seem to take the car too far forward visually either, the original drawings that were shown a while back seemed to make the car look more like the A9 project if I remember correctly, I guess this is focusing more on the tech side of development that anything. I Like the look of the dash and lord knows the 8 is way behind the competition now in that field.

Can't wait to have a go in one and put it through it's paces but no mention of the S8 yet although there were some spy shots of one with 4 pipes out the back recently so they must be testing one.
Strange colour to use on the press stuff for an A8 though you don't see many red 8's about

I do fancy this A9 they mentioned in one of the reports again though I love my coupe's Imagine a RS9

The exterior is very bland as per a D4 and I drive one.
A current A4 is equally bland and very similar at the front end.
Some of the panels do look interchangeable with a D4 but it may look more different in the flesh.
Interior is a different story though and looks really impressive.
