Got it from ScottD3 on here, just need to be in the right place at the right time.

There are a few listed on eBay, you just need to make sure you get an EU one.

Checked the software versions on the DVB-T by using the latest MMI update CDs I have, confirmed that the latest version is already installed so its fully compatible with my already updated MMI.

TV is working well, except its a bit iffy in Stevenage, Herts as its midway between Crystal Palace and Sandy Heath. Unfortunately the system seemed to be reluctant to switch to Crystal Palace and was always attempting to tune into Sandy Heath which has the weaker signal.

A few weeks ago I spotted a leak at the coolant header tank where the upper left pipe enters the tank. Seems this is a common fault and the plastic of the tank cracks leading to a small leak.

Today my brand new replacement has been delivered, so will be fitting this at the weekend. Hopefully the existing clips will hold.

I've not updated this thread in nearly 12 months, so here we are.

Replacement header tank was installed, and all is good again with no coolant loss.

The D3 passed it's last MOT in July with flying colours, not even a single advisory.

I'm now on 160K miles, and just coming up to 4 years of ownership and she is running as well as ever.

However.

My work situation has changed, my commute has changed from 1 miles to 18 miles each way so I find myself hardly using the D3 at all.
Usage had reduced when I got the Volvo to drive to the new office, but I'll soon be spending every day in the new office instead of two or three each week.

Running two cars is a right pain now, I've almost replaced both cars a number of times now but never pull the trigger as the D3 is such a good car. At some point the head will win, next year she will need another cambelt change for example. but for now it's still outside.

Good to hear she is going well mate

Had exactly same issue with the cooler reservoir as you, easy fix and a nice clean white tank make a big impact on the look of engine bay as well.

Would you considering swapping out your D3 for a TDI one and ditch the Volvo, the cost to change would surely be recouped in running one car instead of two ?

The thing is, I put a lot of effort into this D3 when I got it to sort out the niggles and I don't think I could go through that again with another.

I'm looking at new or nearly new cars with warranty this time.

Here I am two months later, I've still got the D3 but she has only travelled 600 miles in the last two months and most of those were in one weekend.

I needed to take her out, so I drove from Dorset to Norwich and back 3 weeks ago to pickup a collection only ebay purchase. During that weekend I used a whole tank of fuel and more, whereas the Volvo would have loads in reserve on it's first tank. Saying that she drives way better than the Volvo, but the Volvo does have 20K more miles on it.

She is now sitting outside where its been for two weeks, I am taking it to work today just to keep her running assuming the battery is not flat.

This weekend I'll get her all cleaned up inside and out, whilst the work changes continue to wreak havoc and my D3 sits there depreciating in value and costing me tax and insurance.
