Which connection? iPhone...
Hi all. I'm trying to work out which cable I need to connect my phone (for music), to my stereo.
It's a lot of stripping to just see a connection, and the car is my daily so just asking, should anyone know so I can just order the part and do it all at once... A pic of my radio is below. Any help appreciated! |

The radio should just pull out if you have the correct removal tools.
There will be a big 3-part (red/yellow/blue) connector on the back (among other connections). The blue is the CD part, you just slide the 3 parts apart and replace the blue block. Then reconnect - test before reinstalling the radio. Sometimes the connector is a single block on the loom and you have to acquire a short adapter lead. This has the big socket on one end and the 3-way splittable block on the other.

So the radio pulls out? I don't have to pull the trim apart? That's a big help. These removal tools, Audi specific or normal stereo removal things?
Thanks for the help lads, just so paranoid about ruining the trim. |

Same seller I've used for quite a few bits and bobs.
Just check you have the four thin horizontal slots (but you will, or maybe just two). IIRC they feed in flat side out, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSe7CnLmD58
