Default Bought An A6

This is my new Toy.

Although the 8 is a big car it doesnt take much to fill the boot when taking the wife and kids on holiday.

Didnt want to miss any of the performance so Went for a 4.2 Quattro

Looking good buddy. The Avus wheels suit her perfectly. She's riding kinda high though - at first glance, I thought she was an Allroad, perhaps it's just the angle of the shot?

300 chp? How does she stack up against your old S8 with 340?

Was a shame to see you break your S8 though!

it is a little high at the moment.

The S6 with 18" Avus Wheels had a lower profile tyre than the 8 which doesnt help.

I am planning on lowering springs which will drop it 40mm and when the tyres need changing I'll put lower profile ones on.

There isn't a noticable power difference but for some reason the A6 has more of a V8 sound than the 8 did. I'm not sure whether this is because the 6 is a 40 valve and the 8 was a 32 or because the 8's exhaust drowned out the induction which can be heard more on the 6.

Don't forget that the A8 has the double glazing and better sound proofing too..

Even with windows open there's a difference.

We'll see what happens when I find an RS6 Exhaust for it.

You don't want an RS 6 exhaust (too quiet) you want an RS 6 Plus exhaust. It's a sports exhaust from factory and sounds much meatier and louder then a standard exhaust. Make me an offer.

Is it standard suspension or sports you have. I have X reg 2.5 TDI Quattro with sports suspension and I find it too low. Fancy a swap on suspension if yours is standard? Max axle loads are 1200kg for rear axle on both cars and front is 1205 on mine and 1260 on yours not sure if that is not too much of a difference. Anyway that's just a thought as you are a bit far away and postage both ways would be a bit expensive.

If you change it for aftermarket coilovers I might be interested in your if they are standard and cheap enough.

I did go through the build list the other night and I think it is on sports suspension.
