Interesting. I would have thought that with a bit of suitable software (based on something used for photogrammetry?) it would be relatively easy to get an exact model of what's under that swirly wrap.

Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.). 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

My friend works for Jag/Land Rover HQ and he is in these camo cars all the time. He tells me that the patterns on the wrap serve a purpose, something to do with them not picturing well or possibly making it harder to see the lines underneath. He is testing the new F-Type today, lucky git.

W12 exhaust tips .. but yet w12 is only a long wheel base on the D4 and this one is a swb... so I wander if there making a swb w12?.... or even using w12 style tips through the range instead of the twin singles ?

If it wasn't for the 'wallpaper' I assume most people would have just thought it was another A4.
What's different to the current A8? I see the passenger-side wiper is better hidden (or maybe it only shows on RHD models?) The headlight loses that awkward bulge on the lower outer edge. Centre grille doesn't go down as low, looks more like a D3 really (which is good). Rear lights re-shaped, not as deep. Last edited by snapdragon; 18th May 2013 at 08:16 PM.

I quite like the wallpaper looks very out there man.
I keep waving at A4's it's only when you see the 8 and remember how big it is. There was a D4 in a work car park last week but didn't want to be snooping all over it as it had VIP passes in the window. Audi sent me a do you want an extended test drive thingy a while ago and i filled it in for the 8, but probably because we're all farmers and not allowed an 8 in the dealers they sent it all back for the 6. Now i'm not fussy at all and i'm not in the market for a brand new 8 or 6 if i'm honest, but if i was i'm not sure i'd want Audi telling me what i can have so they can do one for the moment.
