Default Rear bumper chrome trim removal

How is it fixed to the bumper? Can it be removed without removing the bumper?

I'm sure David will be along shortly as he had an epic with his! There are clips below it and, IIRC, it can be done without removing the bumper, but I think you have to remove the balck plastic trim that is above or below it (and it breaks easily!).

David is in Oz just now, but he is checking the forum.

I'll send this link to his email address.

I'm assuming it's a D2? SORRY - IT'S IN THE D3 SECTION

You 'might' be able to do it with the bumper in situ, but it would be fiddly as hell as there's not a lot of room up there.. From memory, Bumper off isn't the scariest of jobs.

I am not sure that my experience with mine is relevant here but, as Jim says, its best to remove the plastic quadrant trim above the ally trim on the D2 and, probably due to UV degradation, that was a fragile. New clips were helpful but not required in all cases as most were in good nick.
