Default Rsap connection

Hi all,

First post for me.
I have a 2008 A8 3.0tdi quattro with mmi 2g high. I also have a Samsung galaxy s6 edge which I am told is rsap ready put of the box. Given all this is cannot connect this to my car with sim access.
Has anyone any experience with this setup please.
Really struggling.

Peter

Hi Peter
Sorry, not really familiar with rSAP, but what's happening if you go to Bluetooth settings, does the AUDI UHV 0000 shows up in visible/detected devices??
If yes does it accept 1234 pin??

There are two bluetooth units for the d3 a8. One does rSAP and the other doesn't.. it may be that you have the unit that doesn't

M-A8 there are 2 ways of logging your phone to Bluetooth on my car. 1st is to search for car and then type 4 digit code in. This way works fine.
2nd way is use car to find phone with find new mobile phones. This finds my phone and asks to accept a 16 digit code. No problem as long as it is entered within 30 secs. My phone accepts this and then says remote sim mode activated.
Then every 5 seconds keeps reverting to deactivated on phone and so on it goes.

Psyche the reason I think I have system to do Rsap is because it activates remote sim access on phone. Am I right or not?

The reason I want this way to work as opposed to the first conventional way is it offers more options on mmi.

Hope that helps a little in clarification.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of this function and can't really help here. Looks like bluetooth connection is dropping?? Security settings?? Port, log in settings??
Not familiar with the current Android settings, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to help

Default rSAP adaptor

Hello,

To use rSAP on my 2006 S8, I needed the VAG rSAP adaptor which takes over the functions of the functions of the phone. I have an rSAP adaptor for an iphone 3s which fits between the seats in the cubby box and attaches to the gold pins which stick up. The phone then sits in that cradle. I bought mine of german ebay. It works OK, but reception is still a bit patchy, even on supposed good reception areas such as teh M4 between London and Swindon. All the car features work (calls, phone book, but not texts).

I have reverted to my bluetooth on my dension adaptor which is slightly better. Search ebay to see if you can find an adaptor for your phone.

Cheers

Default rSAP update

Brain fade, the adaptor does not hold teh phone, it is self contained with a screen, but clicks into the gold pins in teh cubby box between seats. |It works with my iphone 3s and iphone 5s. They stay in my pocket. If you have the same connector, you are welcome to borrow mine to try it.

Cheers

Richard

If it says remote sim activated then that sounds right. Not sure if there's something needs done on the phone to make it remember your choice.

The rSAP adaptor fits the Gen2 cradles and looks like this -
Trouble is that certain phones including earlier iPhones didn't have rSap compatability.
