Does anyone know what this pipe is for?

Just finished the decoke on the V10 and I found this pipe at the back right side of the engine disconnected, It also looks like the end has been broken off.

Does anyone know what it for and what its supposed to connect to?

Looks like it goes to the bottom of the pvc unit. My engine is apart at the mechanic for a carbon cleaning and a stuck injector. I can check or ask him if i swing by tomorrow.

I think it's the gearbox vent hose if it's the one I'm thinking about. It should have a cap type of arrangement on top. At least mine does.

Looks like the top of mine is missing but I'm sure it's still venting ok.
