Default Wipers issue??

Scratching my head a bit on this one
So annoying, wipers once at first setting they just go bazookas
When rains they seem not to recognise it, I cannot see a thing!!!
When I move the sensor near rear view mirror they start to work for a bit, then mind on their own
I counted breaks between sequence 3s sometimes 15s
I did replaced the sensor with the sticky pad-still the same
Probably thats why my auto lights are on all the time...same sensor right?
Any ideas?

do you have access to VCDS? a scan may reveal something...

FYI - I had intermittent issues with mine and it needed a proper shake [been okay ever since, e.g. 1Y+).

Mine just go full whack on the auto setting if there's even a drizzle of rain. No rain and they don't move. The speed setting on the stalk has no effect on them at all they just go full whack with any bit of rain

I ordered a brand new sensor will let you know if any different
Part number changed from 4e to 4k - when that happens usually part is modified due to previous issues I guess

I'd go for wiper control relay which judging by the clicking is above the pedals. I was surprised Audi would allow an audible relay for the wipers on an expensive car.

So I think I know what the issue is.....wrong bloody windscreen
Looking at numbers all around we got 6 as for 2006, front got 7 and numbers are very blurry. Also problem lays I think in sun visor, sensor sits right on it very dark.
I took sensor out of the holder, while it was bimbing around wipers worked perfectly.
Question, can we program sensor sensivity to sun visor strip?

I think I have same issue, wipers just too fast on the slowest intermittent setting even in minimal drizzle although sometimes they settle down and work OK for a while. I noticed scratches at the front end of the roof gutters which suggest mine might have had the screen replaced. I will await further updates with interest.

Mostly I gave up on the subject
No one so far can pin point the fault
Only thing made it better - I used foam, stuffed it into sensor holder to press it harder to windscreen....made it a lot better
Auto lights are on all the time still
Went to tps and wipers/lights ecu is around 300£ but don't want to spend that really not knowing what the fault exactly is
