Just wondering if I'm missing out on something. Does anyone use this in their D3?

I've tried it once or twice, and it seems convoluted and slow to the point of unresponsive. In fact I've only used it when I've hit the button on the MFSW by mistake!

The 2G one is definitely clunky. The 3G version works far better, but I still don't use it

The Daily Town Car - 2023 Tesla Model Y Performance. Black with Black. Giant ipad screen, huge sunroof, 4 wheel drive, Tow bar, lots of ooomph and made in China, so actually built properly unlike the Californian ones.

The Family Wagon - 2018 Tesla Model X. Black, 7 Seats, Towbar, Homelink, Enhanced Auto pilot with Summon and self park, Heated front seats, CCS Charger upgrade, MCU2 Upgrade, Falconwing Doors, Self opening / closing doors, Netflix, Spotify, toys, Air suspension, alcantara roof + lots of other stuff......

The 17 year old Driver Wagon 2015 Skoda Citigo Monte Carlo. Alloys, Power steering, Aircon, Leccy windows, Sat Nav, bluetooth, central locking, cup holders, 59 whole bhp. Million times better than my first car. Well jealous.....

Cheers. That's what I suspected.

I use it a lot on the 2G, the 3G is better, but 2G is still OK for a ten year old car.
You can say HELP for the possible commands...
e.g.
RADIO HELP
MMI HELP
CD HELP

I had the car 3 years before adding voice tags to contacts.
The contacts need to be in NAME, not NAVI. It's is all a bit confusing.
I also turned of voice feedback so it doesn't for example say CD after I say CD.

My only use is "stop navigation" which works fine.
I have on occasion used it to entertain passengers, but they usually can't resist joining in, then it all goes to pot.

I have a 3G car and mine works just fine. Have programmed name tags and use "Call - John - Mobile" and it works great. Also for "Radio" or "Media", etc. It's OK, but not perfect.

I hardly used I in the a8, but the a7 system is much better, recognises names in contact list and is fairly quick.

Do you know what, after 3.5 years I am getting into it more.
Today I have been using the
"Special Destination" command
It then asks something like" The type of special destination please"
Then I say "Shopping Centre" or suchlike off the special destinations list - it's not the sort of thing you know off the top of your head unless you have used the NAVI for a year or more.
