On further investigation it appears that it does indeed have F125 swith but it is integrated in control unit which bolts to gearbox. As a part of control unit it is not separately replaceable so that would explain why there is no mention of it on Elsa.

So I guess it is a very expensive part rather than just the already expensive solo F125 part?

I wonder if it might just need taking off and cleaning?

Tom...

Default Multitronic

Go on eBay and search for Audi multitronic, sensor failure is common on the ecu assembly which is fitted to the gearbox and there are many company's which recondition your unit so there is no need for coding.

So my ECU is 4E0 910 155 Q.

I only know that from the VCDS data that I have, the first place that I took it to get the ECU out could not get anywhere near it....waiting for a transmission specialist to call me back Tuesday but no matter what it sounds like it will be off the road for a few weeks.

Thumbs up

Update for all, ECU removed and sent to ECUTesting.co.uk, refitted and everything now working fully! All in cost about £700 including labour, ECU repair and oil change in the gearbox.

Thanks all for your input!

Great news on getting your car up and running again, the price hurts a bit I guess but should be good for a while now.

Ouch, 700quid, a lot, but not a huge price for having car up and running again
