The ETN network is apparently under a 51% attack, allegedly from Bitmain:https://www.reddit.com/r/Electroneum..._attack_right/

Verge had 51% attack as well + hack to keep mining on Scrypt instead of switching algos on 05/04. "Fix" resulted in hard fork and network is pretty much down now waiting for a more permanent hard fork. Price went down then up again and surprisingly over all has not suffered too much but because network is pretty much down trading possiblity is limited so current prices might not reflect real value. I am keeping an eye on it and will probably try to get it in early when it comes back on while difficulty will be lower and try to mine some more Verge as I only have little over 700.

My 5th L3+ arrived this morning even when tracking at 6am was showing it's scheduled for delivery on Monday.
V7 to see what price does and if I need to jump on it at early stages but nothing so far, also i thogh MoneroV fork was only going to happen on 30/04. There is also another fork to CryptoNight-Heavy.

Oh and also I had isolator switch installed and incoming power supply upgraded from 60A to 100A

Interesting update from Richard Ellis attached on what's going on with Electroneum - its not under attack, but 'just' a software bug in the block timestamps.

The instant payment system he mentions sounds a lot like Graft so it'll be interesting to see which one wins.

It'll also be interesting to see what happens to it when they also upgrade to V7 since Nicehash has been very strange today. There are roughly 140K Cryptonight miners on Nicehash, of which 20K have so far moved to V7, taking 10MH/s of hashrate with them (us). Bizarrely, Cryptonight hashrate has gone from 130MH/s to 200MH/s in the space of a day, but with 20K fewer miners Have 80MH/s of asics come online coincidentally the day after the V7 upgrade?

Default Thoughts?

Trying to make a less noise box for the miners and put foam inside.

Do we think the proximity of the deflector will increase temps?

Damn Heatwave.....I'm mining less as I can only run the S7's when i'm not in my office or at home, so two machines effectively one output. The S9 in the garage is fine and pretty out of the way!

It is interesting what is going on with crypto currencies these days. I read in this article that we will soon be able to buy houses, cars and other expensive things with bitcoins. Well, let's see, probably someone has already done it?

I think it will happen sooner than we expect. Cryptocurrency adoption is growing exponentially. There have already been numerous stories of houses sold privately using cryptocurrencies and a number of car dealerships have started taking cryptocurrency payments.

Where things get really interesting is when we reach the tipping point; when cryptocurrency use is so widespread that people no longer need to exchange to/from their local fiat currency. At that point it becomes almost impossible for governments to enforce regulations on cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, any government who attempts to use fiat regulations to control cryptocurrency will drive adoption further, turning more people away from their national currency, securing it a place in the race down to zero.

Thats the main thing holding it back I feel, for real adoption people need to buy stuff with it.

Buying for speculation is not going to see mass adoption.

Bitmain were smart making people buy miners with crypto, but we need to see it used daily.

My miner box build was a success, what a difference in noise level and the temps are up only 2-3 Celsius.

It is quiet enough to hear the fan of the PSU which is on the outside now.

Nice job

That's for an S9 presumably?

The problem with the L3 is that it has those extra ventilation grilles above the fans, so any enclosure needs additional fans to vent the heat from those grilles ... but then the L3 isn't as noisy as the S9 anyway.
