Dynavin - alternative to RNSE?
I'm a great fan of the RNSE (which were already installed on my last 2 cars), but to do it properly as an upgrade with a decent unit, adapters, bluetooth, and installation, you're looking at around £1,000.
Anyone got or tried one of these? http://www.dynavin.com/products/product_dnv_a4.php Looks good on paper, and does all (and more) that RNSE does, plus some goodies in the pipeline, and is claimed to be plug and play for a B6/7 S4 for around £500. The fascia should be relatively easy to adapt for an '8.

Well there's no mention of TMC as fas as I can see. Also, not clear if the nav instructions will display in the DIS, but RNSE wont do that on a D2.
I'm going to take a closer look...

Traffic Message Channel (TMC) is a technology for delivering traffic and travel information to drivers. It is typically digitally coded using the FM-RDS system on conventional FM radio broadcasts. It can also be transmitted on DAB or satellite radio. Looks good... Though would be interesting to know if it needs the 3g to do the nav as it seems to be using google maps.

Yes, the google maps bit is an 'add on' when the GPS option becomes available. Well that's how I understood it/hope.
