Nice easy job will only take you an hour or so and can be done on the drive in the rain.

Euro car parts have a promo offer on at the moment so enter PARTS25, they have Lemforder rod ends for 35.40 so knock your 25% off thats around 25 notes. Not looked at TPS because i can't remember my number

Thanks for the info - unfortunately its dark, pishing down here with freezing rain and my indie garage has already ordered up the part anyways and it'll be fixed in the hour. I always thought it required a bit of effort to separate?

I would recommend MEYLE HD. They are tougher, use bigger ball are supposed to last longer and come with 4 year warranty. I got pair on e-bay for £32 IRRC.

They shouldn't be too bad one end is treaded and the other should come apart with a couple of hammers or a fork if you have one.

Not too painful! £19.34 for the track rod end,£27.75 labourand £18.00 for tracking (on top of the MoT costs). SWMBO wont be dipping out on her xmas present!
