Make sure the flaps themselves are not stuck before replacing the broken plastic parts. You should be able to move the plastic arms by hand against the spring pressure, and they should return smoothly as well. Mine are stuck fast, so replacing the plastic arms will make no difference and could make things a whole lot worse.

Good news for me, both flaps are moving so they are not seized.
I wont be buying ridiculously expensive plastic ones from Audi anyway, I'll order a set of these http://www.gruvenparts.com/audi-vw-4...-linkage-arms/ I've tried all day calling the shop to ask how long will the shipping take but no answer. I emailed them 2min ago so now wait an see. I'll be getting them tonight anyway, I just really really hope that for 35dollars shipping charge they will arrive by next Friday

They're a good 5 or 6 hours behind us and today is Ascension Day which, while not a public holiday in USA, is observed by significant numbers of people as a day of prayer and observance. Though many US churches do delay that to Sunday.

Sorry for the lack of follow-up. Been working up in Manchester (partway to Tyndrum already!) for the last week and not driven my car for 2 weeks.
Tried moving the flaps and they still move fine for now. Thanks for the help
