When I saw the title I thought what ???
Is he heading towards transporting body parts, bodies or just a private ambulance.

Now I have to say it's a little crazy but very interesting idea

What sort of mobile workshop we talking about here, something specific or just basic stuff??
Have you got a sketch or something of how would you like it to look like by any chance??

I have thought about larger trucks previously but keeping it at home and on site would be awkward. If i was going to 7.5T or over i'd be looking for Russian or old Bittish military trucks as before, something like a Gaz66 or Zil131 radio body. I very nearly bought an old Thorneycroft Nubian on a 4x4 chasis (quite rare most were 6x6) a few years ago, still think i should have.
That 6 wheelers a beast

Well we'll see what happens with the private ambulance thing i'm sure once it's spotted someone will want a body picking up from somewhere and dropping off to the funeral directors.

Basic stuff really but it'll all be interchangable depending on requirement / deployment.
Living layout would similar to horse drawn gypsy caravans just because it's cosy. Excuse my basic scetches. Forward is up on the drawings and the rectangle on the rear next to the hinged door is the lift.

First is a sofa type pullman berth and the second is a bed type berth berth drawers under and a wood burning stove on the end and comfy chair.

This would be the basic workshop layout ish. Also keeping the lift at the rear.

The beast from the east, good toys like central tyre inflation system so you can adjust the tyre pressures from inside the cab, tax and mot exempt, fully insulated (Russia is cold apparently ) and will burn anything you throw in it as long as you have around 60% petrol mixed to it, so contam fuel, old oil you name it.

Lol I can't think of any reason why one would need a portable lathe but I'm intrigued so will be following this closely.
