Found this thread as I am looking to remap my 4.2TDI. I did some baseline testing for acceleration with VCDS so that I have something to compare to after remap and mine seems rather slow 0-60 with 6.4 to 7.0s (manual says 5.9s 0-100km/h (62mph)). It's quite slow from the start until about 2.5-3k rpm an then it really picks up. I have tried starting with parking brake on, with foot brake on and pressing accelerator as I release brake or building up some revs with brake on, with ESP on and ESP off. ESP does not seem to make much difference but it's fastest starting with parking brake on. Off brake and on gas in the middle and slowest if building up revs before releasing brake. Funny thing is it's slow 0-60 compared to where it should be but 400m & 1/4 mile is pretty much as it should be 15.1-15.3s and always about the same regardless if 0-60 was 6.4 or 7s. Picture with expectations below, I know VCDS is not the most precise and mine is 2065kg not 1945 like in the pic plus I had almost full tank, 2 child seats in the back and 2 tyres in the boot. I am wondering if I should pull ABS fuse and kill ESP for good and see if it makes difference or maybe I need new brake pedal/brake light switch. Or I might need to buy Bluetooth GPS receiver for the phone for more precise reading on Amazon and then return when I am done with it as they are reading 10 times per second compared to 1 ime per second for phones internal GPS https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-GLON...5912549&sr=8-2
