I've got my subframes and fuel tank brackets ready for powder coating, I'll let you know how much it was so maybe we can compare to other parts of the country

It's stupidly expensive, I've paid £50 each for front and rear. If I can get mine done I can send you the one off my car and I'll keep the one off yours? I'm sure something can be worked out

Sounds like a plan going forward

I am in South Wales every 3 weeks so can execute swap / pickup when suits.

Interesting - thats the A6 bush which I have been using. Someone else has obviously also figured out it is compatible with the D2 and updated the listing

I've been slowly replacing the rear subframe in my S8 due to rust issues on the original subframe. One thing I have figured out is that it was designed to be assembled outside the car and then installed into the car as a unit.

I put the bare subframe in and then started putting parts on it. There's quite a few bolts that you simply can't get to with a torque wrench once the subframe is in the car.

Just in case that helps anybody.

Yeah the upper control arms are not fun to access with it in the car. I've dropped a side at a time to deal with those in the past, but much easier to assemble it on the ground and then lift the whole thing in to place.
