I wouldn't say that was an unusual angle. Mine used to be jerky with the old mirror glass before it fell out due to missing clips caused by muppet fitting which I think may have been the glass catching as it moved through its arc. Doesn't do it with the new mirror glass I fitted.

It's extremely difficult to see if all the clips are in place without removing the glass, but you then run the risk of breaking some off taking it out if the glass is old-ish. Just lean it fully up or down, use a plastic lever (tiling grout spreader worked great for me) to tweak it off the mount, then move it electrically to do the same from the other side.

Is there a solution to stop the dipping passenger mirror when in reverse? It rubs me up the wrong way also because as I have to reverse between bollards and tight spaces. I can't see anything distant in that mirror except the floor!

Put the mirror switch in to the middle.

As simple as that. Thanks

If the switch was pointing to the drivers mirror would that side dip in reverse?

Way too low on mine too. I can judge the kerb to an millimetre while inadvertantly taking out a lamppost
