At least the C6 RS6 is an engineering masterpiece, with some real top trumps winning numbers. The C7 is an eco compromise. That said, I briefly looked at the C7 S6/S7 last night, but really they're still more money than I'd want to spend. If I was going to go RS, it'd probably be a B7 - Cubes and noise and not much else. This post wasn't so much about finding me a replacement, but folks opinions on me moving on the Tesla, which have been supportive......

Mine 'only' did 750 bhp, but you can never, ever, stamp the throttle. Every throttle movement takes thought and concentration, unless you're in a dead straight line. The turbos on the Rs6 are big. They give some kick. Tyre-grip-losingly amounts of kick, and so you have to feather the throttle very carefully. And I'm not that good a driver, but I'm not useless either ;-) The S6 however, has less power, but lower gear ratios to compensate and as a result is noticeably quicker off the line - and - more fun to drive flat out. If you're playing top speed trumps, get the RS6. If you actually want a great every day driver, get the S6....

Three-times winner of Best D2 1st prize (3) 1997 Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo: Scots (!  ) Green. Fragile, but beautiful.(4) 2010 Fiat Panda 100HP. White Pandamonium (Final Edition!!). Pure old-fashioned 6-speed go-karting.
