Yeah, but HP was replying to a D2 specific question. Gets confusing when both generations get discussed in one thread!

Yes, all D3's are fly by wire!

I just tried this yesterday mine was in the left position turned it right and took it for a spin, driving around 30mph and then tried flooring it only thing I noticed was what seemed to be a bit of increase lag when i put my foot down, It might just be me being thick as a castle wall and doing it wrong but I didn't notice an increase in changing gear speed

Turning right should be on - it’s clockwise to turn on

Cheers Chris I experimented with the switch and click a lot today for some reason I'm getting the kickdown and a faster drop and response in the left position, mines probs wired wrong

Just checked on my 2005 W12 and was in the left position, clicked it right and now knocks down a few cogs and goes like a banshee!!!
