"Device fault" message on MMI for CD changer

Nope! Still playing CDs as normal. However, if I burn blank CDs myself from a blank disc, it only plays a few tracks on the CD and not all of them. Would this be the component protection?

no dont think so, i mainly used this type and had no trouble, maybe try different disks, or burning software

its interesting that cp hasnt kicked in like it should have, only way to know for sure is to scan it with vagcom.

Yeah I'll have a play around. But I always just burn in iTunes.

Sounds more like it doesn't like your discs. Burn them at a lower speed and see how you get on.

lower speed , and if you can use a better software it probably wouldnt go amiss

Didn't think of the burn speed. I usually do it at 2x so I'll try it slower. But there's definitely no problems playing CDs I've bought so no sign of any component protection
