smell of burning rubber
if I just drive a couple of Km at town speeds, then stop and open the drivers window I can smell what I would guess is burning rubber
as you would expect the tyre temperatures are ok , drive belts are not obviously hot any ideas ?

I had a similar problem a while ago that turned out to be perished/leaking power steering hoses, dripping onto the exhaust. I would say that smelled more like burning plastic than burning rubber though.

Is this not a symptom of the rear output shaft seal?

Split cv boot flicking grease on to exhaust?
