Default Replacing G200 lateral acceleration sender

It looks like I have a fault with the above sensor/sender unit on my D3 4.2 lwb which is a bit of a beeatch because the whole centre console has to come out to change it. Does anyone have any idea wether it's a straightforward swap and it will just function or does it need setting up with either VAS at an Audi stealer or can it be set up / re commissioned using vagcom?
Thanks for any help anyone can give with this . . .

Workshop manual only states, If control module is replaced, select "Replace" function for respective control module in Guided Fault Finding using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 505x). I can't give any light if VCDS can also set it up.

Hope the attached PDF helps a bit. Good luck

Found a useful thread about using VCDS after a Lateral Acceleration Sensor replacement in a TT.

Update. So the sensor is in it now works fine . However all the lights are still on the dash but on vcds the code has gone. It seems to have re set itself.

The only fault now is dtc memory of abs controller and a valves voltage supply to abs pump
Dose any one have any idea ?

The abs module was changed about 5 weeks ago and the problem was cured but now this ?

We are clueless can any one help please ?

I assume you did recalibrate the newly installed G200 module? It needs to between -1.5 and +1.5 m/s². And the installation was done with the battery disconnected?

Quick update to this - the lateral acceleration sensor was put in and scans as working correctly. It appears to have re calibrated itself without doing the esp recalibration excercise. All other codes were eliminated apart from one which was to do with DTC memory on the abs controller. A new code appeared which was confirmed today by Swindon Audi's Master-tech as being caused by a fault in my replacement abs ECU - he confirmed that all remaining dash lights should disappear once this ECU is repaired or replaced. So I am going to send it into a company called bba-reman who refurb the ECU (take it off the abs unit and just send it in on its own). For about £150 they offer a few days turn around and a lifetime warranty once they have done it. I'll report back once this is done
