Default Damn you!

Damn you Audi
Damn you rear brakes!
Damn you calipers

And double damn you Lucas and that hunk of scrap you call a rear caliper!

Front brakes changes with a little effort but went to do the rear discs and pads and the damn caliper would not wind back in!

One snapped caliper tool and after investigation the caliper will move out but will not wind back to it original position thus giving enough room for new pads!

Never mind, time to order a new Caliper.

Why do the jobs that seem perfect for a Bank Holiday weekend end up driving you mad!

feel for you.
simple job of changing rear pads on Range Rover..
oh no….
only to find out at the end of the job that that the had to be reset on the ECU.
reversed the whole procedure and had to book in to LR at £130per hour to do a diy job.

I feel your pain as well. Had the same issue, both rear calipers seized solid, failed MOT and no amount of diesel soaking worked. Got two 2nd hand calipers from a8parts and have had no more issues (aside from air in the system, which had to be bled afterward). Now I've got a warped front disc somewhere which is extremely annoying! Never rains...
