Lovely looking car mate, there will be many along wiser than me but I would remove the reference to 'having had your fun in it.....' makes me think of all sorts of thrashings

Lovely looking car mate, identical to mine almost, with 30k less miles. Took a mate out in mine on Saturday, he's always loved the S8 but never been in one. The smile on his face and the expletives when he drove it tell me he'll have one eventually. He's been told he can once they have a new kitchen and bathroom fitted though, so could be a while.

With regards to your advert, I'd add some more interior photos, and have the screen raised. Have a look at the advert IT placed when he was looking to sell the one I bought, show all of the "nice bits" like the interior trim etc. I'd also use capitals more on your text (MMI for example) but that's just a personal thing.

Good luck with the sale

http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7670. Have a look at this add, it's what made me want this car

Its a personal thing, but lose the magic tree freshener from the photo.

If i see one of those dam things my immediate thought is that the car stinks of dogs / fags / something else bad.

The mileage is nice, but 7 owners is a common measure of how good and genuine a car is.

Personally, I like a nice original car that hasn't been 'improved' by anyone. The more the number of owners increases, the more likely it is that things have been messed with by someone along the way. Also, its sometimes a sign of a lemon if it keeps changing hands quickly - If you've had it a while, emphasise that as it will help people get over the owners thing.

I think its possibly a little pricey given its (presumed) lack of B&O - You don't mention Bose either, so at least pop that in.

Photos - Need more. Why is there no photos of the drivers side? It look suspicious.... Should be photos of front, back both sides, and plenty of inside + boot.

If its a good un, prove it

Funnily enough I was reading your advert earlier today, and several things made me wince.
You list a lot of repairs and jobs done. This gives the impression of a problem car, an expensive car to own, a liability
Get rid of all of that and replace with something telling people that everything works as you'd expect on a well engineered top of the range German automobile.
Remove 'lets chat', 'I have vagcom' and for me K&N filters is a run away sign and the fact that they sound good tells me that you have been thrashing it.
I know you might not have thrashed it, but that's how I read it.

Get boring. Be straight, talk about what they can experience with that car on their driveway and under their bum. Don't sell the car, sell the experience of owning it.
Think about what turns you on in an advert, and do that (unless your a boy racer, if so don't do that
Plenty of pictures, ebay gives you 12, put more, a lot more up on photobucket, and link them in. its free.
Good luck with it

I would also say pictures are not great, on a dirt track in a wood... not great, maybe find a nicer location? also needs more interior pics, and the one you do have is blurred

good luck anyhow its a nice car

Needs better pictures, they're really not showing off the car.

Don't have the sun hitting the car and cause the glare, make sure your camera lens is spotlessly clean, get up close to the subject then crop some of the pictures to show the car close up. Pictures should be taken at the side of the road, next to a large grass area, photo one side then turn the car and photo the other side, make sure there is no litter on the road that will spoil the pictures, nothing that will clutter the image and take away from the car.

I've cleaned them up a little but I'm not clever enough to remove the streaks without making a mess of the pics.
