Default atf flush

Anyone know/recommend a gearbag doctor for a aft flush and filter swap oop north in the yorkshire area? I would use AVP but i don't have too much time off from work at the minute and could do with the swap this week coming...... i'm willing to travel but the closer the better!

the writeup by IT for know your transmission says either chester transmissions or advance transmissions up teeside way so i've booked for advance to do it this thursday. Have to drop the car wednesday night so it can drain fully apparently!? Bit of a pain as they are 70 miles away so it's choo choo home and back the next day. Anyone used them before? I assume IT has but no one has written them up? Dunno how much this is going to cost (like a fool i didn't ask! DOH!) but it's gotta be cheaper than a new gearbag. Wish it luck............

As your going to have to catch a train you could have gone to Chester even though its futher as they force flush the system and therefore it's done while you wait.

well, thats the '8 dropped off for its overnight draining session, just got to wait for the "it done" call the morrow.........just hope the PITA makes it back, it decided to be a 4 cyl on the way there for absolutely no reason whatsoever before remembering it had a couple more to use. I think it was unhappy at the prospect of being prodded. I however was less than pleased and am unhappy it is making its way to being the most unreliable car i've ever owned its never stopped dead on me but i'm now worried everytime i take it out tha its gonna, shame these things have to get old!

I know that feeling and I've been unfortunate enough to have a stopped dead, on the plus side I wasn’t vey far from home.
But you got to try not to worry about it happening and just cross that bridge when you get to it.
If you start to worry when you drive it, that’s it you’ll never enjoy it anymore.
I know of one forum member that sold his 8 because he was constantly worried what was going to go wrong next.
