So this is the stuff.
Itīs from a 2009 and the donator vehicle ran 32k miles.

It costs 6000 sek which is ~550 gbp.

Those look good - the leather looks mostly nice and matt.

I'd definitely swap them.

Can anyone reply here or do I need to start a new thread?

I have a similar dilema. I have a W12 SWB with the option seats at the back with full electric adjustment, heat/cool etc

However there are only 2 of them.

We are having a baby and I would like to fit 3 in the back, is it possible to fit a 3 person rear seat when the car left the factory with just 2?

I am not too concerned about functionality as most cars do not have adjustable rear seats and would be happy to lose this. My main concern is the seat belt fixing points.

Many thanks

A new thread might get more attention to your query for sure....

I'd say anything is usually possible, but be prepared for a lot of work, and ultimately it would devalue what would otherwise be a rare and fairly desirable option on a W12 SWB.

I did the opposite on my D2, went from 3 seats to 2. The chassis was fundamentally the same, but there were brackets riveted in place to hold the fixed seats, that I had to remove for the adjustable seats to fit in.

There were a lot of wiring changes also, which might be more significant in the D3.

Seats, seatbelts and airbags are all safety items. You would really have to feel 100% confident in your abilities to make this conversion, or safety could end up compromised.

Also In my experience, 3 abreast with car seats in the equation is never very comfortable, no matter what the width of the car.

What might be more useful is a multiple child seat.
You can buy units that are very flexible, even allowing the odd adult to fit in, certainly 3 children of varying sizes, even 4, is possible.
Here's one type: https://multimac.co.uk/range

3 Child Seats in a D3 work quite well as long as you use seatbelts rather than isofix. It's about as wide a rear bench as you'll get in a car.
If the 2 Seat setup is such a desirable option, somebody on here with a D3 with same colour seats might swap their standard bench with you. No harm in asking, maybe post a few photos of your existing rear seat. Don't forget, you'll need the centre seat belt setup too.

Cheers for the help guys.

It was my intention to keep the 2 seat and re install it prior to sale. This would mean a swap, this would rule out swapping with a member, but that might have been impossible anyway with the wiring that is involved.

If, as you say with the D2, I would need different brackets that would rule out the option anyway.

The multiple seats are not something I had ever heard of but a bit cost prohibitive. I could buy a cheap scenic for less than one of those. The more I look into it the more this seems like my most feasible option. Im not sure how much peace of mind I would have if I changed the seats over myself and my children's safety is obviously more important than how cool the car they are in

If the install is carried out properly using oem fittings, there should be no safety implications. As for your childrens safety, I would rather have an accident in an A8 rather than a Scenic.
