Improving the A8. Exhaust/dpf/intake/egr delete etc.

I should be receiving some money soon from a car sale and wouldn't mind playing with the a8 as I'm keeping it now.

1) I want to play the music from my phone wirelessly, I can do phone calls with Bluetooth now but no music as no ami, what are my options here? Nothing crazy just want to play music/podcast.

2) dpf removal and exhaust upgrade. Possible remap during dpf removal, I have a place near me, zen sport. It's like £500 for dpf removal and remap. Wouldn't mind loosing the tiny exhaust aswel for a strait pipe. Can the engine and gearbox take this?

3)egr delete and general improvements to engine running. What can I loose and improve upon? Want it to pick up more and generally help the engine breath, loose the restrictions as such. Any intake restrictions I can loose?

What are my engine codes and turbo codes? 3.0tdi v6 Quattro 55/06 plate.

1) AMI with bluetooth dongle is what you need for that

2) You'll need a rematp of some type for DPF removal, but for not much more you can have a power boost. Just check with the garage as to how they remove, as it's now an MOT failure if it looks like it's not there anymore.

3) No idea

There are other option for audio streaming, Neet, Kivic one and a host of others but it really depends on the kit your car has already and what you wise to achieve.

As I'm looking for just playing what's on my phone to my car, what's my best option. Wired or wireless....

I have 2120 software so ami won't work will it?

Can't do that on mine as no tv module.

Ami should be fine if I can sort out the programming of the update to a newer one.

If you get the DENSION kit with Bluetooth then you can just connect to that then stream your music through the car system - I have this in my D3 and it works great.

Does it connect without selecting that on the cd changer as another disc.
How do you select the Denison, is it an aux as such?

You turn the DENSION Bluetooth on or off with a switch on the unit itself (or leave it on all the time if you can't easily get to it) and then select as another CD on the CD player menu as you have suggested. Then all control is straight from the phone. Mine plays the sat nav voice of the phone at the same time if I'm using both

Ok thanks mate, deciding on what route to take now.

Either ami and new 5570 upgrade software or Denison.
