Todays excessive attention to detail.
Today, I 'ave mostly been.....
Adjusting my fuel flap. Not entirely to my satisfaction, but it's as far as it can go without removing it entirely and trimming the plastic moulding a mm or two. It's been mildly annoying for ages; the front edge just catches lightly as it opens/closes and looking at it it's not only clearly offset forward (causing it to catch) but also not square. No doubt someone will bring a micrometer to the June meet and give me a ticking off for inaccuracy, but it's looking a lot better now. It was a "while I'm in the area" type of job, waiting for mastic to partly cure on my boot lid grommet!

Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later) 1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850! |
