Hi
Don't be put off by the aftermarket air suspension, is has come a long way since audi introduced it back in 2008 on this S8. It handles and feels better than it did with on OEM suspension, it has better adjustability and has 6 months remaining on warranty. Guys in the US have been running similar setups for the last 6-8 years, with no issies, believe me I've done my research before deciding to spend £5500 on this kit!!! Have a read up yourself http://www.airrexus.com Air suspension has been around for decades before car manufacturers decided to bring them into the passenger vehicle market. I have replaced the 10 year old struts and bag, compressor, air line, valves, tank etc For trouble free motoring

The price is getting more realistic, but I have to say that if you want better luck selling it, the phtotos of it slammed to the deck are probably not helping.
Its a clear sign of customisation (aka fiddling around with it) (or a major fault) which will put the majority of potential A8/S8 owners right off as they tend to be a reasonably reserved bunch who enjoy their comfort and reliability from a well maintained, standard car. Bear in mind they are looking to pay RS money for a saloon car. They could have afforded something mega sporty but aren't looking for that, and this is the problem when folks go and try and turn a limo into a track car. Its a very niche selling base. Tradein price is currently 13450, but once adjusted for the > 100K mileage comes out at 10890. Forecourt retail from a dealer is £13700, but somewhere in there it will increase in value a few hundred quid for the B&O but will lose far more as the buyer weighs up the cost of putting it back to standard, or wrestling with supporting a non standard air system. However, on the plus side, it does look very clean and tidy. I personally love Suzuka grey, and as a mega bonus its got the light coloured alcantara roof instead of the standard black one, which always makes the cabin seem far brighter to me. Factory options look to be: B&O Sunroof Heated screen Side assist Heated rear seats TV Reversing Camera It is missing: Adaptive cruise Electric rear seats Fridge / Ski hatch Blinds Rear sear entertainment Homelink Tow bar Ventilated seats Massage seats Its a good spec, and nice colour. If it were unmodified, I think you would have had a lot of interest in it by now. Of your most recent pics, if I only saw pics 4 and 5, I'd think it looks smart. But pics 1 and 2 turn me off completely..... Its a tough environment for selling motors at the moment, so genuinely just trying to feedback some helpful advice.

The thing is, everything what Ian said it's true, but there is a buyer for your car out there who would love everything about your car inc. original price of £16,500 so it's all about the timing. Need of selling it asap doesn't help your case.
Good luck anyway

Personally I would keep it, its a nice unique car and these things are bound to appreciate in time, much like the D2s are at the moment.
I've toyed with selling mine in the past and all said and done, decided to keep it long term, parking magnet though it is. |

It's not a bad spec and the air system and wheels personally wouldn't put me off if I was looking to buy an S8 again. The factory paint colour is an attraction too. The F-word is always a turn off for me though ('fully loaded' means you can be certain that is isn't 'fully loaded').
Price is more realistic now too which I'd keep hovered around £13,995/£14,495. Good luck

Thank you for your input gents, comments and suggestions very much appreciated.
Don't get me wrong, the price has been adjusted to make it more 'realistic' based on the current market and my spec. The modification costs and repair bills have been taken out the equation, hence the 2k drop, this does not mean I'm trying to get rid of the car, it just means I've adjusted the price to help me sell as intended initially. It's a lot of car for the money, and hope any protential buyers can see this too. I understand the market for this type of car will be very niche, so now I've worked out a more appropriate figure, I shall hold my own and wait and see. As much as I'm ready to move on to something else, I don't intend on giving her away!
