Also - RSAP is a mixed bag - effectively your SIM card is virtually disconnected from your actual phone and connected to the car which has it's own cellular chip-set. This means your mobile is not connected to the mobile network any more, the car is!

Upshot is this is great for standard voice - most likely 2G - as the "car phone" used external antennas etc.... But useless for anything else!!!!!! You mobile won't have any data connectivity, SMS/Messaging etc and you end up with two call logs also

I use RSAP on the D4 as it is integrated with the navigation/google maps - it is bearable as there is a wifi hotspot in the car which used the "car phone" to provide data, so you an fudge by using wifi on your mobile to get some access. But even then, it is at maximum 3G speeds and tends to be cludgy.....

S4 & RS4 both have standard bluetooth, in some ways so much easier and no signal strength issues, with the roof down!!!!!

So this must be the telephone module in question, with the aforementioned large plug.

And a picture of the scary amount of electronics under the passenger carpet (which are under a polystyrene panel, upgraded from the D2's wood panel ), as well as centre console drain.

What’s the symptoms of that drain plug? How do you clear any blockages then?

The thick foam underneath the passenger carpet saturated with stagnant water, and a slight damp humid smell in the cabin now and then. Needs a good period of warm dry weather to air and dry it out while the carpet is propped up. Doesn't hurt to get a few of those moisture absorbing tubs in there too.

The D2's central drain plugs seemed to get bunged up with leaves and cr@p fairly easily, and it collected within that plug. I imagine the D3's would be the same, unless there is a point further down the drain which is more prone to blockages. Mine was bone dry this time but it takes less than a minute to peel the top of the carpet back now and then just to check the state of things, so certainly worth doing.

Water pouring over your feet when cornering and usually a sloshing sound from behind the dashboard.

There is click r clips missing from the picture here so you would need the pliers to remove them properly to get the rubber elbows off.

Then it's just clean out the elbow and wet vac the part vertical connection and blow out the horizontal connection.

Come to think of it I did think there should be clip or something to secure and tighten the rubber plug - it detached with no effort at all.
