Default Caliper sticking

Hi guys,

The rear driver side caliper is sticking and causing the wheel to get very hot. Is this something serious and expensive? Also am I safe to drive with it whilst I hopefully get it to AVP which might be a month or so! I've had the discs and pads changed last week only!

I'd say it's serious, but not neccesarily expensive.

A8parts would do you one for a reasonable price, but if you're handy with a spanner, then I'd take it off again and make sure it's not the handbrake mechanism seizing on first, then work the piston back in a couple of times to see if it moves freely.

Thanks, i dont know if it is the caliper 100% but a lot more heat coming from that side. I think its the seal more than anything as it had new pads and discs last monday including a MOT so not sure hopefully its something minor but good thing I noticed straight away. I spoke to Ben @ avp and the first thing he said was the seal so getting that ordered and that will the end of that!
